The Pennsylvania State University (PSU) has automated the mailing process of its acceptance letters in-house with our DS-200 folder/inserter and OMS-500 Output Management Software by Quadient. The powerful combination of Quadient hardware and software also earned PSU a United States Postal Service® Mailing Innovation and Digital Award for the Eastern Area.
The PSU mail center was using a competitor’s outdated folder/inserter, which did not meet regulatory requirements for handling sensitive personal information, to process its many student acceptance mailpieces. Quadient Great Lakes and a team of Quadient USA mail center optimization experts worked closely with PSU to assess their acceptance-letter workflow.
The Quadient team recommended our DS-200 folder/inserter and OMS-500 integrated with Satori address cleansing software. A comprehensive demo in our Pittsburgh showroom tailored to PSU’s applications secured our partnership. PSU saves time and money by bringing formerly outsourced jobs in-house, and the risk inherent with manual processes was eliminated after adding 2D barcodes to student admission letters which require many different inserts. Accepted students now receive packets in as few as three days.
